“Without Koru helping me when I was at a very vulnerable stage in my life, I’m sure I would have gone to prison.

Things today are so much better.  I have a career & my own place.  I’m a lot happier, although I still have my struggles!”

Koru Ethos

A 15 year history, proven track record and eclectic professional skill set enable Koru therapists to work with individuals having mild or complex needs.

At the heart of the KORU Project lies the Intrinsic belief in the transformative powers of the creative therapies contained within  the safety of the therapeutic relationship.

Consequently we have always worked in close partnership with creative therapists.

All KORU interventions are informed by attachment based practice and are skilled at working creatively with individuals, families and groups forming a therapeutic alliance that helps support and nurtures growth, healing and development. This methodology is supported by dyadic developmental psychotherapy and practice (DDP) and neuroscience.

Our attachment informed practice with victims of abuse, neglect and relational trauma rewires their capacity to trust, to love and to form functional reciprocal relationships.
